      • A list of installed applications appears.
      • Click Windows Live Essentials, and choose Change/Uninstall.
      • A wizard for uninstalling Messenger opens.
    • Now re-install Messenger. Visit http://download.live.com/messenger to get details.
    • After the setup, reboot your computer.

  1. I have given up ENTIRELY on proprietary clients of the respective chant protocol and have relied on Pidgin and now Digsby. The latter integrates not only all the popular western chat protocols buy ties in popular social sites (even, ugh, mytardspace)
