10 July 2012 by J.M.

On the Worldwide Partner Conference in Toronto (Canada), Microsoft announced that Windows 8 will get released in October 2012. The RTM version will be compiled in August.

According to Tami Reller, the developers are on time for finishing their work on RTM within the first week of August. As soon as Windows 8 is done, Microsoft will also enable the payment systems in the Windows Store. Until now, there are only free apps available.

By the end of October, we will be able to buy new computers with Windows 8, as well as get the system DVD in stores.
