The Google web search is soon going to be encrypted by default.

The Windows Live team has published an instant update for the web file storage Windows Live SkyDrive. Modern browsers and HTML5 make SkyDrive faster, easier to navigate, and more beautiful for viewing photos.

Microsoft’s web mail service Hotmail, part of Windows Live, now supports SSL encryption throughout your session. This helps that nobody in the middle can read what you get in your Inbox neither what you send.

Everything you enter at Google is unencrypted. For encrypting all search terms and receiving encrypted search results, you have to call Google with a special web address.

The search engine provider Google now offers encrypted connections to its users. Therefore the HTTPS protocol has been integrated into web search.

More than 20,000 Windows Live account credentials were published recently. That is why you should change your own password, even if your account was not among them. Here is how to change your password using the Windows Live account center.
