While you work with your Office apps, Word, Excel and the likes take note of how you are using them. In regular intervals, Office is transmitting these usage data to Microsoft. You would rather not want to submit these data? You can turn that off.
Starting from today, Microsoft Office 2010 is available in 240 countries and ten languages. Subscribers of Microsoft TechNet Subscriptions and MSDN can download the software since April, now it is available in stores for private users as well.
Today Office 2010 has reached Release-to-Manufacturing status, after many months of hard work. Since its first public beta in November 2009, more than 7.5 million users have downloaded and tested Office 2010.
When Office 2010 is released in June, on many computers there will be a special Office version, replacing pre-installed Works. This Office version, Office Starter, contains trimmed versions of Word and Excel. Chris Capossela, Senior Vice President of Microsoft’s Information Worker Product Management Group, talked about some Office 2010 Starter details.
CeBIT 2010: Some highlights 
CeBIT in Hanover (Germany), it is still the largest computer trade fair worldwide, even with having shrunk in the past years – this year again with fewer exhibitors and fewer visitors. Some companies though have a CeBIT booth for the first time, like the Web gigant Google.
